Profile

I grew up in Central Illinois and attended Illinois College, where I received a B.A. in Business Administration/Accounting. I then went to law school at the University of Illinois and graduated from there in 1987. At that point, I'd had enough of the snow and ice, so I moved to Florida. Since that time, I have received an MBA in Personal Financial Planning from City University in Bellevue, WA (distance learning), a Graduate Certificate in Computer Information Systems majoring in E-Commerce from Regis University in Denver, CO (online), and a Doctorate of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Sarasota. I am a CPA, as well as a licensed attorney in Florida. I have worked for several years in both CPA and Attorney's offices, and have been full-time faculty in Central Florida for the past 20+ years. I have been married for fifteen years to my lovely wife, Tricia. We have two young sons, Eli (3) and Adam (2). We also have a yellow lab named Charlie. About 12 years ago, we started a private school here in Central Florida where we now have grades K-12. My wife has also completed her doctorate in International Business and teaches Economics for Franklin.
