Boost Organizational Effectiveness
Upskilled employees rise to the challenge of improving results at your organization.
Increase Employee Retention
Investments in training and development positively impact morale and organizational culture.
Maximize Benefits
Streamlined pathways and lower tuition costs help stretch reimbursement dollars.
Your Challenge + Our Solution
Recruiting and retaining top talent are two of the biggest challenges that employers face. According to Workforce magazine, 45% of companies surveyed on employee turnover indicated that costs are more than $10,000 per employee. In addition, a recent Deloitte Global Human Capital Trends Report revealed that companies struggle with developing leaders at all levels in the wake of a widespread skills gap.
A Career Advancement Program (CAP) partnership with Franklin University and your local community college strengthens your ability to enhance your employee offerings by providing affordable and innovative educational options. With CAP you can:
Maximize your tuition reimbursement benefit
Improve employee retention
Develop leaders within your organization
Connect Your Employees to the Career Advancement Track
The Career Advancement Program (CAP) is a dual-degree program offered jointly by Franklin University and community colleges. The program, offered in collaboration with employers as an innovative workplace benefit, is customized to meet the needs of your organization. CAP helps companies and organizations recruit, train and retain talent while making affordable, relevant education more accessible for working adults.

Follow a convenient, predictable class schedule with a combination of online coursework and on-site courses one night a week
Stay focused on completion with pre-determined, accelerated courses
Build stronger team connections and greater ownership of organizational culture throughout the cohort-based program
Save money with a Franklin University tuition discount and free books
Benefit from seamless admission, credit transfer and transcripting
Building on 3+1
The Career Advancement Program (CAP) is rooted in the 3+1 partnership between community colleges and Franklin University. As part of the 3+1 program, students pay the partner community college rate for the associate degree and up to 30 additional hours of bridge courses. Students then transfer 75% of the total credits required for the bachelor’s degree and finish the remaining courses with Franklin, Ohio’s #1 nonprofit provider of online degrees.1
Over the years, this partnership has contributed to the strengthening of our local workforce by providing educational options for residents who might otherwise leave the community to further their education.
As part of partnering with your organization, we can customize the program to meet your needs by offering tailored 3+1 pathways in a variety of areas including business, healthcare and technology. Also as your CAP partner, you can count on our support to:
Manage all facets of the program from student recruitment through bachelor’s degree completion
Offer 1:1 preliminary evaluations and information sessions
Provide your associates with dedicated admissions and academic advisors

Columbus State Community College, Franklin University + Huntington
The Exact Track 3+1 dual degree business program provides a combination of education, support and real-world experience, and its convenient workplace location helps eliminate some of the hurdles for students hoping to further their education.
As current and prospective college students confront multiple barriers in pursuing college degrees, Huntington Bank, Columbus State Community College and Franklin University launched an innovative, forward-looking workforce education program to reduce the burdens on students and increase the likelihood of their success.
The Exact Track 3+1 dual degree business program provides an opportunity for Huntington associates to earn an associate degree in Business Management from Columbus State and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management and Leadership from Franklin University. The program, offered on-site at Huntington, combines eight semesters of Columbus State curriculum and six semesters of Franklin University curriculum, including summer terms, enabling participants to complete college in five years while working full time.
