Lead Faculty, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner Programs

Franklin University, located in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a full-time, 12-month, Lead Faculty for its Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner Programs. The PMHNP/FNP Lead Faculty primary responsibilities include: course development; teaching; administrative oversight of courses; hiring, mentoring and managing adjunct faculty; promoting teaching effectiveness; networking and participation in the professional community; and University service/committee work. Faculty members work in collaboration with instructional designers, practitioners in the field, our in-house multimedia group and peers to create adult-centered active-learning courses.  Candidates will have the flexibility of a hybrid or remote work schedule, with the expectation of being onsite as necessary. 

This position requires candidates to possess a terminal degree in Nursing/Nursing Science or related field: PhD, DNP or DNSc (candidates with ABD status may be considered).  Dual certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner is required to allow for oversight and teaching across programs. The candidate must have a current, unencumbered RN and NP license in the US and board certification must be maintained. In addition, the candidate must possess at least four years of practical experience in a wide variety of areas within the discipline including practice as a NP and have at least two years of prior teaching experience, online teaching experience preferred.
